The Brief

The client needed a monitor riser with one specific requirement: enough clearance underneath to slide a laptop in and out. Standard 10cm risers were too high. 6cm was the exact height needed.

The Build

Length: 100cm
Height: 6cm — custom, below standard range
Panel: Deep Space Blue (#003b59) fading to clear — the gradient runs the full 100cm length
Frame: 8mm chrome-plated carbon steel shafts, machined aluminum fittings

Why This Color

The client chose Deep Space Blue — a dark, desaturated navy that sits somewhere between ocean and night sky. Fading to clear at one end, the acrylic becomes almost invisible where it meets the desk. At 100cm, the full gradient is visible from across the room.

The Result

Laptop slides underneath. Monitor sits at the right height. The 100cm panel makes the gradient more dramatic than on shorter pieces — the color transition has room to breathe.
